At Beacon Community, we believe that prayer is vital to the health of our church, and an important way to impact our local and global communities. We have a variety of opportunities for prayer:
Wednesday Prayer Groups
Every Wednesday morning at 9:00am, our faithful Prayer Group meets and prays for individuals (who have asked for prayer), the church, local schools, government, cross-cultural work and anything else that God prompts these prayer warriors to lift up before our heavenly Father’s throne.
Prayer Response Team
On Sunday, there are often opportunities after the Morning and Night Service for individuals to request prayer from one of our Prayer Response Team! If you’re struggling with something, facing an impending operation or seeking direction in your life, whatever it is, we will pray for you.
This is like an emergency hotline for immediate prayer. Prayer requests are carefully and respectfully received by staff and the Care Team, and then passed on through text or a phone call to members of the Prayer Link Team. The Prayer Link Team know that when a prayer request is received, there is an urgent need for prayer.
We like to pray before we worship. So, at 8:50am and 5:50pm respectively, we gather together, asking that the Holy Spirit would bring our hearts closer to God. It’s a good way to prepare to hear from the Lord, and we encourage anyone who attends our Worship Services to join in!
